Hiking to Kom Peak, Tina accessed my ability along the hike and was very flexible when it became apparent downhill hiking was more difficult for me. The hike was challenging, which I enjoyed, and the Tina knew volumes about the area and the foliage pointing out the Cyclamen and winter flowers in bloom by name. Anyone can walk through the woods but understanding the diversity of life going on all around you makes Tina and this hike quite special. Once we got to the top, I was blown away by the view of the nearby islets and islands. Having hot coffee at the peak and while learning more about these islets and islands was such a treat!
Adjustments were made due to Covid closures and Tina brought a homemade lunch for our picnic. WHAT A DELICIOUS nutritious salad! Filling and tasty! Tina is a warm and sincere guide who believes that hikes should be planned with safety in mind and her knowledge of varied and challenging nature trails is outstanding! She speaks English perfectly and her detailed knowledge of the history of the island is unsurpassed.
